Live Ballet Class Coming Soon | Inspiring Artists

At Dancing Doll Books, we're proud to showcase characters of different backgrounds so that young dancers can see themselves as leading ballerinas/ballet dancers. Did you know that each of our characters are modeled after someone? With Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month coming to a close, we'd like to feature our model and official Dancing Doll Books Ballerina Livy, who is the face of Odette from 'Swan Lake'.

Livy has over 20 years of ballet experience, with training in Cuban, Vaganova, and Royal Academy of Dancing methods. Her primary goal is enriching the global community through the arts, and next Saturday, June 5th at 8pm EST, she will be volunteering as a ballet teacher for Leap of Dance Academy (a ballet school in Nigeria that offers free dance classes to the community). Joining her will be the talented cellist, Wade Davis, who will help bring the magic of live music to the students.

The class will also be broadcast on Instagram live via Livy's account, viewers can tune in and participate in the class for free. Additionally, information on how to donate to Leap of Dance Academy's food program will be supplied should anyone be able to donate to this great cause.
